Job summary

IPS is seeking an Associate Director of Civil & Structural - EMEA to lead the Civil & Structural discipline across the EMEA region, based in Birmingham or Dublin. You will drive QA/QC, support business development, and align with IPS standards.

The role requires chartered engineer status, strong leadership, and extensive experience in designing pharma/Biopharma facilities, with travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in the design of Pharmaceutical and BioPharmaceutical facilities for the cGMP production.
• Ability to lead teams and manage budgets.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Chartered Engineer membership (MICE or IStructE).

Responsibilities

• Implement strategic direction set by the Director of CSA – EMEA.
• Coordinate scope, cost, complexity, planning and scheduling across projects.
• Develop discipline policies, technical standards and procedures.
• Support business development with technical input and proposal generation.
• Liaise with IPS leadership to ensure consistency across projects.
• Travel to IPS office locations and client sites as needed.
