Job summary

Modis is seeking an EMC Engineer in Bristol to join a specialist engineering team within a leading UK defence organisation. The role focuses on EMC requirements across the full product lifecycle, from concept to qualification and delivery.

You will work on specialist EMC projects, developing expertise and contributing to designs, testing and certification; a strong background in electronics and EMC is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical, Physics, EMC or related field.
• Strong understanding of EMC principles and their application to electronic systems.
• Experience with electronics products in design, development, testing or qualification.
• Ability to assess designs for EMC risks and compliance considerations.
• Experience producing technical documentation, reports, specifications or test plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide EMC guidance and support throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Review designs for EMC risks and compliance issues.
• Develop and maintain qualification strategies, test plans and supporting docs.
• Support verification, validation and certification activities.
• Investigate issues and provide engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet EMC requirements and standards.
• Support testing activities and review results with corrective actions.
