Job summary

Thales Group in Reading, UK is seeking an Embedded Systems / Software Integration Engineer to develop and integrate software for an edge-computing system based on NVIDIA Jetson, integrating cameras, IMUs, GNSS and other peripherals.

The role spans hardware and software, adapting carrier boards and interfaces, coding in C++ for existing processing pipelines, using embedded Linux (Ubuntu), and requires travel for training, with security clearance considerations.

Qualifications

• Experience integrating hardware and software for edge computing systems.
• Proficient in C++ algorithms and processing pipelines.
• Familiar with NVIDIA Jetson platforms and CUDA.
• Willingness to travel to Ukraine for training.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software on NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano platforms.
• Work with Ubuntu Linux in an embedded environment.
• Integrate and configure hardware peripherals and carrier boards.
• Configure boot, system services and diagnostics.
• Create test procedures for hardware/software integration.
