Job summary

Minimal, a London-based technology company building autonomous vehicles, seeks an embedded engineer to own vehicle-level software and hardware integration. You will build and maintain firmware pipelines, bring up features from architecture to real-world validation, and apply AI tooling to accelerate development.

Hybrid work arrangement with 4 days per week at our West London HQ. Strong emphasis on ownership, collaboration, and delivering reliable vehicle software systems.

Qualifications

• Proficient in embedded C/C++ with hands-on experience in firmware development.
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for embedded targets.
• Ability to reason about interfaces, failure modes and software/hardware requirements.
• Experience with hardware bring-up and integration in vehicle or similar systems.
• Willingness to make architecture decisions with limited senior sign-off.

Responsibilities

• Own embedded systems across the vehicle, including motor control, power, comms, sensing and vehicle-level behavior.
• Build CI/CD and test infrastructure to ship firmware to a live fleet with confidence.
• Take features from architecture through bring-up to validation on real hardware.
• Leverage AI tooling to automate and accelerate development, with influence on how it is used.
