Job summary

Minimal, a London-based technology company building autonomous vehicle software, is hiring an embedded software engineer to write C/C++ that runs on vehicles in the field. You’ll get hands-on with bring-up, debugging and testing on real hardware, and work across motor control, communications, sensing and vehicle behaviour.

You’ll use AI tooling from day one and join a small, agile team working in our West London micro‑factory. Hybrid work four days a week at HQ.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to write embedded C/C++ for hardware platforms.
• Experience with bring-up, debugging and testing on real hardware.
• Interest in motor control, sensing and vehicle behaviour.
• Familiarity with AI tooling and data-driven development is a plus.
• Background in electronics, computer science, mechatronics or similar.

Responsibilities

• Write embedded C/C++ that ends up on a vehicle in the field.
• Get hands-on with bring-up, debugging and test on real hardware.
• Work across motor control, comms, sensing and vehicle behaviour.
• Use AI tooling from day one and contribute to rewriting practices.
