Job summary

Akkodis is seeking an Embedded Software V&V Engineer for an on-site contract in Bristol. You will verify and validate real-time missile system software by turning requirements into structured test cases, executing tests, and delivering data-driven feedback to project teams.

You will leverage lab experience, scripting skills, and a strong grasp of the full software lifecycle to support robust test processes and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into robust test cases and procedures for real-time embedded software.
• Develop and execute verification and validation tests; capture data and provide actionable feedback to teams.
• Contribute to test automation concepts and maintain traceability across the SDLC.

Embedded Software V&V Engineer required for on site contract in Bristol

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the verification and validation activities on real-time systems application software for the next generation of Missile Systems. The role requires taking requirements, developing them into robust test cases, preparing and executing tests, capturing data, and delivering actionable feedback to project teams. You will have to draw upon your strong practical problem-solving skills, data acquisition expertise, and adaptability.

Skillset/experience required:

Essential

• Strong experience of V&V activities in an embedded software environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Good documentation skills
• Ability to turn requirements into structured test cases and procedures.
• Experience of working in a lab environment on an electro mechanical product running embedded software.
