Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Software Systems Capability function in Derby or Solihull. You will develop high-quality software components across the lifecycle, aligned with DO-178 objectives, in a collaborative, Agile environment.

The role offers exposure to model-based design and hands-on verification, with opportunities to influence architecture, tooling, and process improvements while delivering to schedule.

Qualifications

Experience in software design and embedded software development.
Knowledge of system/hardware architecture and module testing.
Experience with model-based design or C.

Responsibilities

Develop software components from requirements to verification to meet DO-178 objectives.
Evaluate verification results and support defect investigation and issue analysis.
Follow configuration management and change control practices in DevOps environment.
Work in Agile environment to collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand System Requirements and ensure effective component integration.
Create technical documentation evidencing design decisions, verification outcomes, and development activities.
Contribute to departmental capability growth including process improvement, knowledge sharing, tool development, training support, and long-term planning initiatives.
