Embedded Systems Software Engineer

Location: Coventry

We are recruiting on behalf of a long-standing customer seeking an Embedded Systems Software Engineer responsible for developing embedded software solutions across their product suite.

The role involves:

1. Hands-on development for new and existing products
2. Customizing Yocto distributions / board support packages (BSP)
3. Documenting and participating in software architecture design
4. Collaborating with project leads to meet schedules and requirements
5. Working with cross-functional teams to influence key decisions and meet solution goals

Requirements include:

1. Experience in full lifecycle embedded software development
2. Proficiency in C/C++ development and verification
3. Knowledge of C# (preferred/nice to have)
4. Expertise in embedded Linux systems, preferably Yocto, on ARM architectures
5. Understanding of IoT principles and security (advantage)
6. Experience with maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated testing (advantage)
