Job summary

JASA Talent is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer in St. Austell, Cornwall. You will develop firmware for microcontroller systems using C and C++, primarily on ARM Cortex cores, with collaboration across hardware and software teams. Some PCB design work may be available.

The role emphasizes hands-on experience with embedded software, hardware knowledge, and the ability to drive projects from concept to delivery. A few years in the field and exposure to MATLAB/Python tooling are a plus.

Qualifications

• Few years of experience as an Embedded Software Engineer with electronics hardware knowledge.
• Core languages: C and C++, working on ARM Cortex microprocessors and other microcontrollers.

Responsibilities

• Work with Hardware and Software teams to create designs on microcontroller systems.
• See projects through from start to finish.
• Code in C and C++ and perform analysis using MATLAB and Python.
• Resolve software issues for clients.
• PCB design may be offered if you have the skills.

Embedded Software Engineer

Location: St. Austell, Cornwall

Salary: £50,000 to £55,000

An opportunity has opened for an Embedded Software Engineer to join an Electronics company based in Cornwall. The ideal candidate will have a few years experience as an Embedded Software Engineer with some Electronics hardware knowledge too. The core languages used with be C and C++ and you'll be working on ARM cortex microprocessors along with other microcontrollers.

The role offers 25 days holiday and an early finish on Fridays as well as other benefits.

Embedded Software Engineer Key Skills:

• Embedded Software - C, C++
• Excellent knowledge of microcontrollers and processors - ARM cortex ideal
• Understanding of hardware design
• Any PCB Design or DSP experience would be a bonus
• Firmware development
• MATLAB or Python would be a bonus

Embedded Software Engineer Responsibilities:

• Working with the Hardware and Software department creating designs on microcontroller systems
