Embedded Software Engineer

Join an industry-leading security consultancy as an Embedded Software Engineer, developing critical cybersecurity solutions for high-profile clients, including the UK's national cybersecurity. Based in Derbyshire, this role offers a unique chance to apply your engineering expertise to make a meaningful impact. You'll work on a variety of projects, pushing the boundaries of innovation in cybersecurity while contributing to real-world solutions that protect key infrastructure. Due to the nature of the role, the successful applicant must be able to obtain DV Security Clearance.

Location: Derby office – due to the confidential nature of this role and associated projects, it is fully on-site

Requirements for Embedded Software Engineer:

• Ideally, you will have at least 3 years of experience in a commercial C/C++ Embedded software role, although strong graduates with a year in industry will be considered
• Strong design and coding skills
• Keen interest in security (prior experience not necessary)
• Ability to understand requirements and suggest solutions, given the consultancy nature of the role
• Beneficial experience in: C#, RUST, scripting languages, SQL, IP standards, network security
• Must be eligible to obtain high-level security clearance (DV), typically meaning no criminal record, and having lived in the UK for the past 10 years
