Hunter Selection Ltd is recruiting an Embedded Software Engineer for Cardiff to contribute to firmware development and sustained product support within a small, high-tech team.

You will implement embedded firmware in C, debug embedded systems, and use Python and C# for test tools, with a focus on robustness and documentation. Applicants should hold an engineering degree and have at least 3 years of embedded software experience.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent in a related discipline.
• At least 3 years experience in software and embedded firmware development.
• Good working knowledge of C/C#, and standard development tools.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of embedded firmware designs and test solutions primarily in C.
• Firmware development and debugging of embedded systems.

Your role:

• Working in a small, versatile team, you will be involved in product design and sustaining activities on a range of electronic based products.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Implementation of embedded firmware designs and test solutions pimarily in C
• Firmwaredevelopment and de-bugging embedded systems
• Using Python and C# for test and tool development, with thecreation of design documentation.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Engineering Degree or equivalent in a related discipline

• Good working knowledge of low programming languages (C/C#) and the ability to use standard development software: debuggers, editors, compilers.
