Job summary

Modis in Bristol is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer for a long-term, onsite contract. You will develop embedded Linux real-time software using C++ and Rhapsody, and ensure alignment with ICDs.

You will write unit and integration tests, conduct hardware-in-the-loop testing, and follow project plans and quality processes, using JIRA for tracking. The role operates in a lab environment with target hardware.

Qualifications

• Significant experience with C++ for embedded real-time software.
• Experience with model-driven development tools (Rhapsody UML).
• Experience in functional, integration, simulation and hardware testing.
• Ability to develop and test software to requirements and ICDs.
• Proficient with DOORS and MS Office for documentation.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as RTC/EWM.
• Knowledge of Python, Ada or FreeRTOS is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded RT software on Linux using C++ and Rhapsody to meet ICDs.
• Write unit and functional tests; perform integration testing with target hardware.
