Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy in Manchester is seeking a Software Integration and Verification Engineer to perform critical integration tasks in embedded systems within a defence context. Candidates should have over 5 years of relevant experience, with strong skills in Bash scripting and Linux, as well as an ability to debug IP networks. A Bachelor’s or Master’s in a related field, or a suitable technical military background is required. This is an on-site role with a competitive salary and various benefits including private medical insurance and a pension scheme.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in software engineering.
• Experience in embedded systems context.
• Eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC).

Responsibilities

• Perform software integration and verification activities in a defence context.
• Automate test processes using Bash scripting and Linux.
• Diagnose system-level issues through TCP/IP network debugging.
• Deploy and manage complex software systems in containerised environments.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure robust solution delivery.
