Job summary

Matchtech Group in the United Kingdom seeks an Embedded Software / Firmware Engineer to join a small, multi-disciplinary team. You will develop cryptographic and embedded technologies for security-critical environments, spanning research, prototyping and full product development.

You will work with C/C++, Python and FPGA tools (Vivado/Vitis/ModelSim), across bare-metal, Embedded Linux and device drivers, applying DSP and RF concepts where relevant. DV clearance via SC may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in embedded software/firmware development using C/C++.
• Python development for embedded systems.
• FPGA development with Vivado/Vitis/ModelSim.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software and firmware using C/C++ and Python.
• Contribute to FPGA development and ongoing verification with Vivado, Vitis, ModelSim.
• Support design, development and testing of embedded systems hardware.
• Work across bare-metal microcontrollers, Embedded Linux and device drivers.
• Create prototypes and run experiments to de-risk new technologies.
• Apply DSP, RF concepts, and software-defined radio where appropriate.
• Collaborate with software, electronics, hardware and RF engineers.
• Maintain information security in line with procedures and regulations.
