Job summary

Platform Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced R&D Engineer to join its client in East Sussex to develop embedded electronics and firmware from concept to production. The role spans the full product lifecycle within a collaborative R&D environment.

You will design analogue/digital circuits, develop Embedded C firmware, and support products through lifecycle while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. CAD exposure is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Experience in embedded electronics product development.
• Strong embedded firmware development experience (Embedded C).
• Analogue and digital electronics design experience.
• PCB design and schematic capture experience.
• Some exposure to mechanical design/CAD.

Responsibilities

• Design analogue and digital circuits for embedded systems.
• Develop embedded firmware in C for microcontroller-based products.
• Support products throughout their lifecycle, including obsolescence management.
• Modify mechanical designs where required using CAD.
• Develop bespoke product variants to meet customer requirements.
• Support testing, validation and continuous product improvement.
