Job summary

Proactive Global in Gloucester, United Kingdom, is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join our rapidly growing technology team. You will design schematics, select components and layout PCBs, collaborating with mechanical for enclosure, thermal and EMC constraints, and lead board bring-up with oscilloscope-based debugging.

You will work with embedded software on drivers and system integration, ensure manufacturability and reliability, and create test jigs and procedures while maintaining current

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Computer or Embedded Engineering.
• 2-5+ years in electronics design and embedded bring-up.
• Proficiency with PCB design software, lab instrumentation and hardware debug workflows.
• Familiarity with embedded C/C++ and reading firmware logs; Python for test scripting is a plus.
• Organized, hands-on, and capable of rapid iteration with cross-functional teams.
• Creative problem-solving and willingness to explore AI-enabled methods.

Responsibilities

• Design schematics, component selection and PCB layout with enclosure/thermal/EMC constraints.
• Lead board bring-up and debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and power measurements.
• Create test jigs and procedures to improve manufacturability, testability and reliability.
• Collaborate with embedded/software on drivers, interfaces and system integration while maintaining BOMs.
