Job summary

Infleqtion UK is seeking an Embedded DevOps engineer to join our expanding team in Kidlington, Oxford, with travel to Harwell and the National Quantum Computing Centre. The role combines development and maintenance of robust testing and deployment processes for software, firmware and gateware across embedded hardware.

You will manage CI/CD pipelines, hardware-in-the-loop configurations, and IaC solutions while ensuring secure, traceable releases and close collaboration with software,

Qualifications

• 4+ years of DevOps experience with embedded devices.
• Strong Linux systems administration, networking, and scripting.
• Experience with Git-based workflows, automated testing and versioned releases.
• Hands-on container tooling and IaC (Docker/Podman, Ansible, Terraform, Nix).
• Ability to maintain traceability between source, build and deployed hardware configurations.

Responsibilities

• Software Deployment: Manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment, testing and updates.
• Hardware-in-the-loop configuration: Manage networked systems for development, testing & commissioning.
• Infrastructure as code: Design and maintain IaC solutions and automated deployments.
• Software security: Define and own secure code development and deployment procedures.
• System-down planning and response: Maintain lab system availability and backup policies.
• Collaboration and Documentation: Work with software and hardware teams and document configurations.
