Job summary

Infleqtion UK is seeking an Embedded DevOps Engineer to accelerate development velocity and reliability for quantum research and production systems. You will build robust testing and deployment pipelines, manage hardware-in-the-loop configurations, and drive secure software release practices across software, firmware, and gateware.

The role requires strong Linux administration, scripting, and IaC skills, with a mix of on-site work at Oxford/Kidlington and Harwell, plus travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of DevOps experience with embedded devices.
• Strong Linux administration and scripting skills (Python/Bash).
• Experience with Git-based release workflows and traceability.
• Hands-on with Docker/Podman, IaC tools and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployments for embedded systems.
• Configure hardware-in-the-loop testing environments for development and validation.
• Design and maintain IaC solutions to automate deployments.
• Define and enforce software security procedures for code deployment.
• Oversee lab system maintenance, backups and network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with software and hardware teams and document configurations.
