Email Marketing Specialist

UniQuest engages students through a comprehensive multi-channel communication strategy. Intelligent and innovative email marketing forms an important strand of this strategy and enables our partners to deliver proactive and insightful conversion journeys informed by insights. The Email Marketing Specialist is at the heart of this.

The main function of this role is the creation and deployment of intelligent and impactful email marketing campaigns for specific partners across the UniQuest group. The Email Marketing Specialist will ensure that digital student communication journeys are continuously evaluated and optimised to ensure that our partners are confidently placed at the forefront of email marketing developments.

This client-facing role is essential to accommodate more on-site client visits as part of our growing and expanding company. Travel within the UK is a core element of this role.

The Email Marketing Specialist ensures that emails are built upon the most effective templates. They build and optimise effective email marketing communications for our clients, improving conversion rates and ensuring that the partners reach their full potential and prospective students are engaged with successfully.

This role works closely with colleagues in the Technical Solutions, Operations and wider UniQuest teams to deliver proactive and strategic insights to our partners.

As a member of the Marketing Automation Team, you will demonstrate:

  • Confidence in client-facing meetings.
  • Proactive approach to delivering and improving campaigns.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
  • An understanding of the importance of insights and transparency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To manage your partner’s email marketing account by providing the best and most innovative service possible.
  • Visit partner universities in the UK for regular face-to-face progress and future planning reviews.
  • Create strong relationships with the relevant stakeholders at UniQuest.
  • Assist where possible with the set-up, build, testing and sending of B2C email communications.
  • Manage an Email Marketing Assistant who will aid in the building of campaigns.
  • Quality assess email campaigns that are built by the Email Marketing Assistants.
  • Proofread copy for grammatical and style errors, check links and other technical details with the help of the Litmus software.
  • Where appropriate, undertake testing to recommend more effective content placement.
  • Use metrics to report engagement and conversion rates both internally and to the partners.

Skills and Experience:

  • Client-facing experience is essential.
  • Have experience in managing accounts.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a Digital Marketing environment.
  • Knowledge in Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, and litmus is desirable but not essential (evidence of any email platform or CRM such as Pardot would suffice).
  • Basic understanding of HTML elements.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role.
  • Experience in content creating in Higher Education is desirable.
  • Able to understand and analyse reporting to maximise the impact of campaigns for clients using a combination of software programs and Microsoft Excel.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
