Role: Senior Controls Systems Software Engineer

Location: Oundle, Peterborough

Hours: 37.5 hrs per week

Eltek Systems is looking to recruit a Senior Controls Systems Software Engineer to join our expanding team.

About the role

This role involves project delivery primarily within the Food & Beverage industries, working with various PLC brands, including Rockwell and Siemens.

The ideal candidate will have experience working on diverse projects and delivering solutions as part of a Systems Integrator.

Main Responsibilities:

• Participate in the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to completion.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
• Produce design and test documentation.
• Develop PLC, HMI, and SCADA software.
• Conduct testing with customers.
• Perform on-site commissioning.
• Prepare training manuals and conduct customer training sessions.

The Person

• Intermediate experience with Rockwell, Siemens, or other major PLC and SCADA/HMI platforms, with a desire to learn new technologies.
• Several years of software development experience and project delivery with customers.
• Good understanding of industrial network setup, commissioning, and fault finding (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, ProfiNet, Ethernet) preferred but not essential.
• Experience working in an engineering environment.
