Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting a Developer for a Liverpool-based Public Sector client on a 12-month FTC. The role offers hybrid working with on-site presence 1–4 times per month depending on location.

You will develop and maintain solutions using Ellucian Banner and Oracle, write SQL for data extraction and reporting, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver technical solutions and ensure system reliability. Java is a nice-to-have.

Qualifications

• Experience with Ellucian Banner and Oracle systems.
• Strong SQL and data extraction/reporting skills.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain solutions using Ellucian Banner and Oracle technologies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand system requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Ensure the reliability and performance of existing systems through regular updates and maintenance.
• Write and optimise SQL queries to support data extraction and reporting needs.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for system-related issues.
• Document system changes and processes clearly for future reference.
• Work closely with the technology team to ensure smooth system integration.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies relevant to Ellucian's Banner and Oracle systems.
