Job summary

Ascent Flight Training (Management) Ltd is seeking a Qualified Helicopter Instructor (QHI) to join our team at RAF Shawbury. You will instruct on high‑end simulators and aircraft, deliver ground theory, and guide trainees through increasingly complex courses with our military partners.

Candidates should hold a QHI qualification (or CFS(H) recommendation), have strong communication and presentation skills, and be capable of supporting courseware development.

Qualifications

• Must hold QHI qualification or CFS(H) recommendation.
• Experience with UK military training desirable.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to develop courseware and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ground theory lessons in mass briefings.
• Instruct basic and advanced techniques using simulators and aircraft.
• Instruct on courses with increasing complexity across services.
• Support crewman courses by flying the aircraft for syllabus sorties.
• Supervise flying and uphold the Just flight safety culture at RAF Shawbury.
• Drive continuous improvement in courseware and working environment.
