Job summary

Aston Villa Football Club Limited is hiring a Grounds Person for Bodymoor Heath Training Ground and Villa Park. The role involves active turf maintenance, grass cutting, reseeding, aeration, fertilising and verti-cutting to high standards, with records kept and equipment stored safely.

Weekend and evening work, plus travel between club sites, are expected. You should hold an NVQ Level 2 in Horticulture/Sports Turf or equivalent, with spray qualifications PA1/PA2 and PA6A preferred.

Qualifications

• NVQ Diploma Level 2 in Horticulture or Sports Turf (or equivalent).
• Experience in grounds maintenance on professional sports pitches is desirable.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and matchdays.

Responsibilities

• Grass cutting, marking out, re-seeding, aerating, fertilising and verti-cutting to match-day standards.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure tools/equipment are stored safely.
• Support wider Estates team and work across Bodymoor Heath and Villa Park sites.
