Job summary

Lookers Kia Gateshead is seeking a Commercial Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our workshop. You will service and repair Ford CVs, perform health checks with modern tech, and work closely with the Aftersales Manager to ensure high standards and career development opportunities.

The role requires a full UK driving license, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, and prior experience. Brand accreditation training may be provided. Attractive benefits and progression await the right candidate.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Qualified Vehicle Technician or experienced Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles.
• Carry out checks in line with manufacturers guidelines.
• Carry out vehicle servicing and repairs as required.
• Carry out basic diagnosis in mechanical and electrical work.
• Test drive vehicles to verify faults and ensure repairs.
• Complete all paperwork to a high standard.
