Job summary

Lookers Kia Gateshead are recruiting for a Commercial Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join their workshop, working on Ford CVs. 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm) with 1 in 3 Saturdays 8:30am-12:30pm.

You will perform health checks, services and repairs using the latest technology, reporting to the Aftersales Manager, and have access to brand accreditation training. The ideal candidate will hold a full UK driving licence and NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent qualification.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent required.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Experience as a vehicle technician or mechanic advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections on Ford CVs and other vehicles.
• Perform vehicle health checks and services according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Carry out repairs and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
• Fit additional accessories as requested by the customer.
• Complete all relevant paperwork to a high standard.
• Take vehicles for road tests to verify fault fixes.
