Job summary

Scottish Rugby Limited is seeking an experienced athletic performance coach to lead physical development within National Talent Pathway Year 3 players. You will deliver tailored athletic performance coaching and educate players on core principles of athletic development.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to align pathway goals, foster a high-performance culture, and set athlete-development standards across programmes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and UKSCA accreditation required or advantageous.
• At least 3 years’ coaching experience in academy or elite environment.
• Strong knowledge of long-term athletic development and programme planning.
• Ability to use athlete profiling, strength diagnostics, and GPS data to inform practice; proficient in MS Office.
• Satisfactory PVG check and full driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Lead physical development for identified National Talent Pathway Year 3 players.
• Deliver athletic performance coaching tailored to development needs.
• Educate players on principles and practices of athletic performance.
• Provide ongoing guidance to support players across physical preparation.
• Lead within the multidisciplinary team to align pathway goals and foster a high-performance culture.
