Job summary

Arsenal FC is seeking an Academy Performance Psychologist on a 12-month fixed-term contract to coordinate and deliver performance psychology provision across all age groups (U9-U21). You will optimise players’ champion mentality as part of an interdisciplinary team and support education for players, parents/guardians and staff.

You will work closely with Coaches and the Medical department to design training practices and pathways, while upholding safeguarding and confidentiality standards across

Qualifications

• Background in high-level sport, with psychology services in elite sport
• Credible expertise with HCPC registration and BPS/CASEs training
• Certification in safeguarding and first aid (FA Safeguarding Children & Emergency First Aid)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychology support to players, parents/guardians and staff across the Academy and loan players
• Oversee thorough psychological monitoring and assessments for injured players and returns to play
• Support player wellbeing with mental health screenings and Wellbeing in Performance group
• Collaborate with Coaches to design training practices that develop champion mentality
• Align with Medical department to identify and refer mental health concerns
• Maintain forward-thinking research, development and sharing initiatives
• Uphold child protection, health & safety and equal opportunity policies
• Act as an ambassador for the club and uphold confidentiality
