Job summary

The Barnsley Football Club Academy is seeking an enthusiastic Academy Coach to work with Foundation Phase and Youth Development players, delivering sessions in line with the coaching syllabus and philosophy. You will support the Age Group Lead Coach and lead sessions to stretch players in an elite environment.

You will contribute to matchday experiences, safeguarding, welfare, CPD and maintaining FA qualifications, while upholding high standards of behaviour with players, parents and staff.

Qualifications

• UEFA B License or working towards.
• Experience with Foundation Phase/Youth Development.
• FA Youth Award Modules.
• FA Emergency First Aid in Football or willing to complete.
• Enhanced DBS clearance and safeguarding certificates.
• Experience in an Academy, with young players.

Responsibilities

• Follow and implement the Academy coaching syllabus and philosophy.
• Plan, deliver and support age group sessions alongside the Lead Coach.
• Lead sessions to stretch and challenge players.
• Create and deliver age appropriate matchday experiences.
• Develop individuals within a team environment and support learning plans.
• Deliver off field coaching sessions and CPD commitments.
• Maintain safeguarding practices and policy compliance.
• Ensure attendance targets and high professional standards.
