Job summary

Rotherham United is seeking a dedicated academy coach to lead a specific age group, delivering innovative sessions aligned with the club philosophy and syllabus.

You will maintain training and match records, contribute to CPD, and play a pivotal role in talent identification and the trialist process, while adhering to safeguarding and EFL regulations. The role requires a valid UEFA B Licence and FA coaching awards, with willingness to travel and work evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience with elite players or youth development.
• Experience in talent identification and recruitment.
• Awareness of academy audit processes.
• Ability to plan coaching syllabi and ILPs for academy players.

Responsibilities

• Coach a specific age group within the academy per the philosophy and syllabus.
• Deliver effective session plans aligned with club strategy.
• Maintain accurate training and match records and identify intervention needs.
• Attend and contribute to CPD and staff training.
• Drive trialist process and recruitment activities.
• Manage signings/releases in line with EFL rules and deadlines.
• Promote club culture and safeguarding standards.
• Carry out other duties as directed by the Academy Manager.
