Job summary

Otis is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for Reading. You will maintain elevator units, service them across your territory, and respond quickly to issues to achieve first-time fixes. You will work with customers on site and ensure safe, reliable operation.

You will carry out routine maintenance, perform minor repairs, and collaborate with a global team of engineers and technicians. Training and safety remain top priorities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Lifts maintenance mechanics (or equivalent)
• Valid driving licence
• Strong electrical engineering knowledge
• Commitment to safety as a priority
• Good communication skills and ability to work alone or in a team

Responsibilities

• Carry out 100% of elevator maintenance and service visits in your territory
• Manage portfolio of elevators within your defined geographical area
• Respond promptly to breakdowns with aim of first-time fix
• Carry out minor repairs to ensure continual operation
• Liaise with customers on site to build good working relationships
