Job summary

The Running Horses in Surrey Hills is seeking an experienced restaurant front-of-house team member to deliver warm, efficient table service with great product knowledge. You will greet, seat, take orders (allergens checked), input to EPOS, run food and drinks, and help maintain high standards during breakfast to dinner service.

Availability for evenings, weekends and Sundays is required. Training and progression opportunities are available, with wine knowledge and barista basics considered a

Qualifications

• Solid restaurant/pub floor experience.
• Sharp communication and guest focus.
• Confident EPOS use; allergen awareness and Challenge 25 where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Greet, seat and manage tables; follow our sequence of service.
• Take orders accurately (allergens checked), input to EPOS, run food & drinks.
• Recommend dishes, sides, desserts and drinks.
• Carry 3 plates/tray service confidently; clear and reset swiftly.
• Handle payments and resolve issues with care, escalating when needed.
• Set up/close down sections; complete cleaning and opening/closing checklists.
• Support breakfast for residents when required and service in the garden during fine weather.
