Job summary

Orion Electrotech in Swindon is seeking an Electronics Test Technician to join our production team. You will test, fault-find, and validate electronic assemblies and products to meet quality, performance, and customer requirements.

Working closely with engineering and production teams, you will play a key role in identifying faults, supporting product quality, and ensuring all units are tested to the highest standards before dispatch.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an electronics testing or electronics technician role.
• Ability to fault-find electronic circuits and assemblies.
• Experience using electronic test equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing of PCBs, electronic assemblies, and finished products
• Diagnose and fault-find down to component level where required
• Use a range of test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies
• Record and report test results accurately
• Identify, investigate, and resolve production faults
• Follow test procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation
• Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the production environment
• Work collaboratively with assembly and engineering teams to resolve technical issues

The Electronics Test Technician Role
