Job summary

Gold Group in Rochester, Kent is seeking an Electronics Test Technician to join a multi-disciplined manufacturing team. You will test analogue and digital electronics, fault-find to component level, and ensure products meet project timelines.

Day shift role with flexi-start times, 37 hours weekly, and uplift options for Twilight/Night shifts. Candidates must have 5+ years UK residency and be eligible for BPSS clearance.

Job Title: Electronics Test Technician

Location: Rochester, Kent

Role Type: Permanent

Salary: £32,773 - £38,773 (£43,588 - £51,568 Night Shift OTE)

Our client, an established electronics manufacturing firm in Rochester, require an experienced Electronics Engineer to join their multi-disciplined team.

Candidates would need to have lived & worked in the UK for 5+ years and be eligible for BPSS security clearance.

Day Shift

Monday-Thursday: 6:45am-3:00pm

Friday: 7:00am-1:00pm

Flexi-time is available, allowing starts as late as 8:30am.

Employees must work a minimum of 6 hours per day and 37 hours per week.

Twilight (+25% shift uplift) and Night (+33% shift uplift) shifts are available.

What the role of the Electronics Test Technician entails:

Some of the main duties of the Electronics Test Technician will include:

• Working within an integrated manufacturing team, testing products to set target times and within the project schedule
• Carrying out testing and fault-finding on a variety of new and mature analogue and digital electronics products such as Pilot Displays, Flight Controls and Flight Computers
• Fault-finding to component level using appropriate circuit diagrams and test equipment when a failure is identified
• Ensure unit compliance to test specifications and procedures
• There may be some migration of this skill into other Technician disciplines such as inspection, fitting and/or wiring/soldering

What experience you need to be the successful Electronics Test Technician:

• Electronics manufacturing experience
• Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams
• Testing and fault-finding experience (to component level)
• IT knowledge is important as our production aids, drawings, routings, and most specifications are delivered electronically via a Manufacturing Execution System
