Job summary

Redline Group is seeking an Electronics Test & Repair Engineer to join a global technology business in Solihull, offering fault-finding to component level and the repair of complex electronic equipment.

You will create test procedures, mentor colleagues, and perform software and hardware upgrades. Overtime is regularly available with a monthly bonus, and there is a clear path to Senior Engineer and SME roles.

Qualifications

  • Experience in component-level electronics testing and repair.
  • Strong understanding of electronic components and PCB fault diagnosis.
  • Ability to reverse engineer boards and identify complex faults.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently while meeting customer deadlines.

Responsibilities

Are you an Electronics Test & Repair Engineer who enjoys fault-finding down to component level?

A leading global technology lifecycle and services partner is expanding its Repair Operations team in Solihull and is looking for an experienced engineer to help diagnose, repair and improve a wide range of complex electronic equipment.

What you'll be doing

  • Test, diagnose and repair electronic equipment to component level.
  • Fault-find and reverse engineer PCB assemblies.
  • Introduce new products and repair processes into the workshop.
  • Create and maintain technical test procedures and documentation.
  • Support and mentor other engineers on new equipment and repair methods.
  • Carry out software and hardware upgrades, assembly and disassembly, and maintain accurate repair and warranty records.
