Electronics Technician, Hinckley
An opportunity to work within the cutting-edge automotive R&D industry sector.
12 Month contract role, up to £18 per hour PAYE, commensurate with experience.
39 hours per week, some flexibility with working hours.
An Electronics Technician to work for a business at the cutting edge of automotive technology research and development. Working in an accredited UKAS laboratory environment, you will provide technician support working on the test and repair of test equipment and instruments used for automotive research, development, and test projects.
This Electronics Technician job will involve:
Perform testing, fault finding, and repair on electrical/electronic instrumentation and control systems.
Component level changes to instruments including the installation of surface mount devices.
Ensure all tools and diagnostic equipment are maintained and used in a suitable manner.
Preparation of technical reports for engineering colleagues.
Your background as an Electronics Technician:
Previous experience of working as an Electronics Technician, PCB Technician, or Electrical Technician, with experience in testing or repairing electronic, PCBs, or electrical equipment.
Good understanding of electronic circuits and schematic drawings.
Soldering experience would be beneficial.
You will be a proactive, self-starter.
You will hold a relevant qualification in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a similar engineering discipline.
