Red Bull Advanced Technologies is seeking an Electronics Support Technician for an 18-month FTC in Milton Keynes. You will work on high-end motorsport electrical systems, supporting build, test, and data collection activities across factory and event environments.

The role requires strong problem-solving, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with design and engineering teams to deliver reliable electrical performance under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Understand and deliver build specs for electrical systems and components.
• Assist in creating and managing test plans for rig tests.
• Build and maintain electrical test instrumentation.
• Support rig tests and system commissioning, software setup.
• Assist design with samples, build reviews, and design reviews.
• Ensure electrical systems meet build specs before tests.
• Provide event electrical support, coordinating spares.
• Maintain rig test inventory and event spare stock.
• Operate specialist equipment per procedures.
• Review system performance and data for anomalies.
• Diagnose and rectify faults using root cause analysis.
• Provide feedback for fault investigation and process improvement.
• Create and manage component fault reports and traceability.

Key Responsibilities of the Electronics Support Technician:

• Understand and deliver build specifications for electrical systems, harnesses, and components.
• Assist in generating and managing test plans for rig and product tests.
• Build and maintain electrical test instrumentation for system functionality and data gathering.
• Support rig and product tests, including system commissioning, software setup, and fault resolution.
• Assist design engineering with engineering samples, build sequence reviews, and design reviews.
• Ensure electrical systems meet event build specifications before rig or external tests.
• Provide electrical/electronic event support, coordinating spares and equipment.
• Maintain inventory for rig tests and operational events.
• Operate specialist equipment as per procedures.
• Continuously review system performance and analyse data for anomalies.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical system faults promptly using root cause analysis.
• Provide engineering feedback for fault investigation and process improvement.
• Assist in creating and managing component fault reports, ensuring system traceability and integrity.
