Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a System Engineering Manager for Electronics and RF in Luton. You will lead local and remote engineering teams, drive NPI delivery, and manage suppliers to meet cost, quality and schedule goals.

The role requires a dynamic leader with deep electronics, firmware and embedded systems expertise, including LPWAN and battery-powered devices, delivering across the full lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics Engineering, Communications Engineering or Physics.
• 8+ years in product development within a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Proven leadership of technical teams and complex product development programmes.
• Strong knowledge of LPWAN or other wireless communications technologies.
• Experience with low power battery devices and embedded systems.
• Experience with product verification, validation and regulatory governance.
• Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to drive innovation and deliver results in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical engineering teams locally and remotely, including 3rd party suppliers.
• Prioritise and deliver the NPI portfolio on time, quality and cost.
• Create and manage project plans, specifications and DV/Ps for reports.
• Collaborate with internal experts balancing commercial and tech needs with customers.
• Align technology capabilities with customer needs and commercial objectives.
• Develop end-to-end technology strategy for firmware and hardware.
• Oversee budget, metrics and root-cause analyses for the team.
