Job summary

Qualifications

• Electronic assembly experience and ability to read technical drawings.
• Experience creating production documentation.
• Knowledge of MRP/stock-control systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Able to use initiative to solve manufacturing problems.
• Engineering qualification such as A Level / BTEC or higher.

Responsibilities

• Input Bills of Materials and check accuracy.
• Plan, create and update detailed Assembly Aids per customer requirements.
• Maintain configuration control of engineering packs and docs.
• Implement customer design changes at production points.
• Support production with yield and manufacturing trend analysis.
• Investigate root causes and support process improvement.
• Provide DFM feedback to customers to optimise products for assembly.
• Support Sales with labour estimates when required.
• Develop and implement improved manufacturing methods to increase efficiency and yield.
• Support Quality Assurance activities.
• Communicate engineering issues across departments and with customers.
• Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, Production and QA.
