Job summary

Graphcore Bristol is seeking an Electronics Laboratory Manager to ensure the safe, reliable operation of our Bristol labs. You will oversee facilities, equipment and infrastructure to support critical work across engineering and operations.

This hands-on leadership role owns lab standards, maintenance planning and ESD controls, builds a technicians team and collaborates with DC Engineering, Facilities and Product Test to keep pace with Graphcore’s fast-moving AI roadmap.

Qualifications

• Strong technical understanding of electronic test equipment, lab infrastructure, setup and calibration.
• Practical knowledge of ESD prevention, control systems, audits and training.
• Deep understanding of health and safety requirements in electronics laboratory environments.
• Ability to work with engineering teams to plan, configure and support technical lab setups.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors for maintenance, calibration, upgrades or specialist technical services.
• Leadership skills to build, manage and mentor a team of technicians.

Responsibilities

• Own the safe, reliable operation of Bristol labs and ensure facilities, equipment and infrastructure support critical work across engineering and operations.
• Manage test equipment, lab infrastructure, ESD controls, goods in/out, maintenance planning and technical readiness.
• Build and guide a multidisciplinary technician team to support lab users.
• Set standards, improve processes and solve problems to keep delivery on track.
• Collaborate with the DC Engineering Team, Facilities, Supply Chain, Quality, Product Test and Diagnosis to align lab activities with priorities.
