Job summary

BT Group is seeking an Electronics and Health & Safety Trainer to act as an expert in hardware and safety training. You will create and deliver courses, audit field engineers’ activities, and lead on new technologies and legislation updates across UK regions.

The role requires practical demonstrations, documentation, and close collaboration with Learning & Development and Health & Safety teams. Applicants should be qualified in training course creation/delivery and comfortable teaching in

Qualifications

Clear and confident communicator able to explain technical and safety information to a wide range of learners.
Strong safety and attention-to-detail mindset – takes responsibility, follows procedures and is confident challenging unsafe practices.
Engaging, assertive – able to build rapport with learners while maintaining authority.

Responsibilities

Prioritises health and safety at all times in line with BT Health & Safety Handbook.
Performs on site risk assessments and identifies hazards as work progresses.
Reports incidents and near misses promptly and challenges unsafe behaviour.
Ensures ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance with relevant internal sign-offs.
Develops and updates training material with Learning & Development teams.
Delivers a mix of written and practical training to colleagues.
Coaches and buddies other team members to support best practice and new skills.
Travels across the UK footprint to deliver courses at regional hubs.
