Qualifications

• Formal electronic qualification such as HNC/HND/BEng.
• Experience in electronics hardware design for harsh environments.
• EMC awareness at product and PCB level.
• Schematic capture, PCB layout, and IPC awareness (Altium preferred).
• Awareness of Def-Stan/Mil standards, safety and quality processes.
• Ability to support assembly, integration and test.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the design, development, and support of mixed electrical/electronic solutions from concept to completion.
• Define processes, specifications, and procedures for electrical/electronic hardware design and manufacture.
• Review supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.
• Develop functional and physical design requirements for integrated architecture.
• Design and development of electrical/electronic circuitry (analogue, digital, FPGA, power electronics).
• Analyze, test, and evaluate electronic circuits and components.
• Perform circuit simulation and analysis.
