Job summary

Awerian, near Cambridge, seeks an Electronics Engineer to join as a Consultant. You will tackle real-world challenges from concept to prototype, collaborating with scientists, engineers, and designers to deliver impactful solutions.

The role covers the full product life cycle, including requirements capture, design, testing, documentation, and delivery. A relevant degree plus hands-on experience in electronics and software will be essential for success.

Qualifications

Academic excellence with a relevant degree and proven technical capabilities.
Experience in electronics hardware design and schematic capture (Altium).
Knowledge of low level data protocols: SPI, I2C, Ethernet, Modbus.
PCB layout, signal integrity and stack-up design; board bring-up and testing.
FPGA DSP, signal processing, high-speed and RF/microwave design.
Embedded software development in C/C++, MATLAB or Python/Simulink.
Experience in communications and networking protocols; system architecture collaboration.

Responsibilities

Explore pioneering concepts with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver solutions.
Handle full product life cycle: requirements, design, documentation, testing and delivery.
Contribute to projects from proof-of-concept to working prototypes.
