Job summary

Awerian is seeking an Electronics Engineer to work across the full product life cycle from requirements to delivery. You will join multidisciplinary teams to evolve ideas into practical, working hardware and software solutions.

Responsibilities include design, verification, documentation and prototype testing, with emphasis on PCB, FPGA, DSP and embedded software development using C/C++, Python and MATLAB/Simulink.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in electronics hardware design and schematic capture.
  • Experience with PCB layout, signal integrity and board bring-up.
  • FPGA DSP and embedded software development experience is expected.
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python or MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Familiarity with communications networking protocols and system architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Tackle the full product life cycle from requirements to delivery.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers and designers.
  • Document, test and validate designs and prototypes.
  • Develop hardware and firmware for complex technology solutions.
  • Prototype and iterate from concept to working hardware.

Job description

Your work will have a real-world impact. You will explore pioneering concepts through collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams of skilled scientists, engineers, and designers. You’ll see ideas become reality as you create impactful solutions through Awerian’s rapid approach to design, development and implementation.
As an Electronics Engineer, you will tackle diverse, real-world challenges from the ground up. Typically, this will involve the whole product life cycle, capturing requirements, design and development, documentation, testing, and delivery. Awerian’s wide variety of intriguing projects, from proof-of-concept through to working prototypes, provide stimulating intellectual and practical challenges.

Requirements:

You will have a track record of academic excellence, hold a relevant degree, and have proven technical capabilities including the design and development of complex technology solutions. Notable experience is required in several of the following areas:

  • Electronics hardware design and schematic capture (using Altium for example).
  • Experience with low level data protocols (SPI, I2C, Ethernet, Modbus).
  • PCB layout design, including signal integrity and stack-up design.
  • Board bring-up, testing and documentation.
  • FPGA firmware development, debugging and testing.
  • DSP design and modelling.
  • Signal processing/algorithm design.
  • RF/Microwave electronics design and simulation.
  • Electronics hardware design, schematic capture and testing.
  • Embedded software development, debugging and testing.
  • Experience in C, C#, C++, MATLAB, Python or Simulink.
  • Experience in communications and networking, implementing and/or designing protocols.
  • Experience of collaborating with other engineers on system architecture, interfaces and hardware design/procurement.
