Job summary

A global manufacturing company is seeking an Electronics Engineer for a 12-month on-site contract in England. The role involves fault finding, repairing test equipment, and supporting calibrations. The ideal candidate must have a HNC/HND in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and experience in calibration processes. Competitive pay of £40 Umbrella or £29.80 PAYE is offered.

Overview

Electronics Engineer
12 Month Contract

Certain Advantage are working with a globally known manufacturing company, are actively seeking an Electronics Engineer to work standard days on a Sub Contract Basics for an initial 12 month contract, This is an on-site based role.

Responsibilities
  • Fault finding and repair of test equipment, supporting routine calibrations, commissioning of Test Equipment and drift analysis.
  • You will be working within an experienced team of Calibration & Maintenance Engineers supporting complex test platforms in the manufacture and test of complex systems. You will be trained to calibrate and support special to type factory test equipment using a range of technologies, DC to Microwave.
What we’re looking for from you
  • Experience and knowledge in the calibration of test equipment and maintenance of test systems to component level. (Training provided).
  • Able to utilise instructions, handbooks, drawings or specifications to provide technical advice/guidance. Able to use this information to conduct appropriate measurements and repairs down to component level.
  • Have a good understanding of calibration principles and processes.
  • Able to mentor other or more junior staff when requested by line manager.
  • Able to deal with multiple issues, tasks and priorities concurrently.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to tailor communication to the relevant audience.
  • A good understanding of SAP would be desirable.
  • Experience of working on Environmental Chambers an advantage.
Qualifications

Minimum qualification: HNC/HND in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
