Job summary

Redline Group Ltd is seeking an Electronics Engineer in Cambridge on a permanent basis to design and develop high reliability electronic products across the full lifecycle. The role covers analogue, mixed-signal and embedded circuits, prototype development, and support through verification, certification and production.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams including software and mechanical engineers, contributing to product architecture, design reviews and cost optimisations.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in an electronics design and development environment.
  • Strong practical experience in analogue and mixed-signal electronic circuit design.
  • Proficiency with PCB design tools, ideally Altium Designer.
  • Experience in electronic prototyping, testing and debugging.
  • Good understanding of the complete electronic product development lifecycle.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

  • Develop prototypes, proof-of-concept designs and support board bring-up activities.
  • Define and execute design verification and validation (V&V) plans.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and collaborate with manufacturing partners.
  • Contribute to product architecture, design reviews and cost optimisation.
  • Investigate product failures, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Support compliance and certification activities, preparing technical documentation where required.
  • Collaborate with software, mechanical, manufacturing and compliance engineers.

Overview

Our client, a leading designer and manufacturer of life safety technology, are looking for an Electronics Engineer to join their team in Cambridge on a permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on the design and development of high-reliability electronic products, taking ownership of projects throughout the full product lifecycle, from concept and prototyping through to certification and production.

Responsibilities
