Job summary

The Ministry of Defence is seeking an Electronics/Electrical Technical Instructor to deliver training modules at Lyneham, stepping away from hands-on tools to mentor new recruits. Salary starts around £45,882 and rises to £48,839 with qualification, plus a 6% pension and other benefits.

Ideal candidates have at least 5 years on the tools, NVQ3 or equivalent in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, and hold a UK driving license with willingness to travel across the UK.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years on the tools experience.
• NVQ3 or above in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Full UK driving license and willing to travel to sites across the UK.
• British citizen and able to obtain Security Clearance.
• Local to Lyneham or moving to the area.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver instruction on course modules with lesson planning, training aids, workbooks, and student handouts.
• Create and prepare teaching and learning materials, utilising modern learning technologies, including Technology Enhanced Learning.
• Assist with the technical administration of training, course design processes, teaching and learning materials and equipment.
• Maintain a CPD portfolio in respect of SQEP, innovative technologies and equipment, future training commitments and personal development requirements.
• Ensure lesson plans and training sessions are developed in accordance with Learner Specifications, Course specifications and Course Training Plans.
• Review course material and content ensuring it is current and evolves to support equipment and technology advances.
