Job summary

Insignis Talent is seeking an Electronics Design Engineer in South East London to own hardware design and validation across the full product lifecycle. The role covers analogue and digital hardware, from initial concept through to manufacture, with emphasis on high‑voltage design principles and robust problem solving.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in power electronics, HV design (500V+), and PCB toolchains (Altium/Zuken/PSpice/LTspice), plus EMC testing and product qualification

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Mid-level experience in electronics hardware design and development.
  • Experience taking electronic products through the complete design lifecycle.
  • Practical knowledge of power electronics, power supplies and/or DC-DC converters.
  • Experience with PCB design and simulation tools such as Altium, Zuken, PSpice or LTspice.
  • Experience supporting EMC testing and product qualification.
  • High-voltage electronics, ideally around 500V+.
  • Closed-loop control systems.
  • Knowledge of IEC 62368-1 or similar electrical/electronic safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop analogue and digital electronic hardware.
  • Take products through the full design lifecycle, from concept and simulation through to prototyping, testing, qualification and industrialisation.
  • Produce schematics, technical documentation and test specifications.
  • Support EMC, environmental and product validation testing.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality and Production teams to support successful NPI and product introduction.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to ongoing product development.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and support the resolution of design and production challenges.

We're looking for an Electronics Design Engineer with solid hands‑on experience in hardware design and a track record of taking products from initial concept through to manufacture.

Whether your experience is at 500V or several kilovolts, we're interested in engineers who understand the principles of high‑voltage design and enjoy tackling technically challenging problems.

The Role

Working within a multidisciplinary R&D team, you'll be responsible for the design, development and validation of electronic hardware, supporting products throughout the complete engineering lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop analogue and digital electronic hardware.
  • Take products through the full design lifecycle, from concept and simulation through to prototyping, testing, qualification and industrialisation.
