Certain Advantage are recruiting on behalf of our world-leading defence client for an experienced Electronics Design Engineer / Production Support Engineer to take on the role of Test Design Support Engineer at their site in Lancashire.

Ideal Electronics Engineering candidates will come from a background in designing products/systems and/or providing support to designs through the manufacturing phase of the product lifecycle.

Experience of RF and Test Systems is preferable.

Overview:

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Electronic Design Engineers to play a leading role in supporting production activities at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, where you'll see designs coming to life in the manufacturing environment.

The Role

You will act as the interface between our design teams and manufacturing teams while working alongside other support engineers to provide knowledge and support.

The primary focus is on highly advanced missile module programmes and subsystems, with opportunities to work on other projects including launcher assemblies.

This role offers a unique engineering challenge within an organization that supports personal growth and development in electronics.

Skills and experience required:

• Degree qualified (or equivalent industry experience) with experience in designing products/systems and/or supporting designs through manufacturing.
• Proven experience in the design of disciplines such as:
  • Digital and Analogue electronics
  • Power Electronics
  • RF & Antenna
  • Interconnects
  • Safety Electronics
  • Test Systems
  • Schematic design
  • PCB Design
  • Adherence to BS EN Standards
• Excellent verbal communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to produce clear engineering documentation.
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary team, with a passion for innovation and collaboration.
• Ability to work autonomously, lead work packages, and engage stakeholders for successful delivery.
• Experience in supporting manufacturing and resolving manufacturing issues is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong investigative skills to identify root causes of design issues and propose effective corrective actions.
• A track record of on-time delivery and excellent communication skills.
