Job summary

TT Electronics in Barnstaple (North Devon) is hiring an Electronics Assembly Technician for the Operations team. The role is full-time over four days, 07h15 to 17h30, Monday to Thursday, manufacturing sub-assemblies and rack systems to exact specifications.

We seek candidates with aerospace experience, ISO/AS quality familiarity, and IPC610/620 accreditations. ERP/shop booking knowledge, attention to detail, and teamwork are essential; a formal apprenticeship is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in Aerospace industry or similar environments.
• Ability to work in low volume, high product mix settings.
• Accreditation in IPC 610/620 or ESA/ECSS is desirable.
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement and quality.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and inspect sub-assemblies and rack systems to build instructions.
• Work within costed time restraints and maintain scheduling.
• Operate in a Quality Accredited environment following aerospace controls.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

We're currently recruiting for an Electronics Assembly Technician to play a key role in the manufacture of sub assemblies & rack systems working within the Operations department.

This is a full time role, over 4 days, and the hours of work are 07h15 to 17h30, Monday to Thursday.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Manufacture, check & follow detailed build instructions to a high degree of accuracy.
• Manufacture products in a timely manner in line with expected costed time restraints.
• Complete manufacturing tasks within a Quality Accredited environment, in accordance with both General Manufacturing and Aerospace controls.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

What We Look For:

• Prior experience in the Aerospace industry, or similar.
• Extensive experience in working in low volume, high product mix, build-to-print environments, and design to spec environments.
• The ability to thrive under pressure and deliver against deadlines.
• Experience in the use of ERP/Shop booking systems.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• The ability to work as part of a team in order to satisfy the needs of schedules and deadlines.
• Accreditations in IPC 610/620 or, recognised similar such ESA/ECSS.
• A proactive outlook on an improvements culture with a view of continuous improvement.

The following would enhance your application but are not essential to apply:

• Experience of Accredited Quality Systems such as ISO9001 or AS9100.
• Knowledge or experience of Lean manufacturing or production techniques.
• A formal Apprenticeship.
• Additional accreditations such as trainer for IPC610/620 Jstd.
