The opportunity

We're looking for an Electronic Technician - MRO to join our growing team at our Tewkesbury facility, supporting the maintenance, repair and overhaul of aerospace components. This is a hands-on opportunity where you'll apply your electronics knowledge, fault-finding abilities and attention to detail to diagnose, repair and test electronic components. As part of our growing Tewkesbury operation, you'll have the opportunity to contribute your expertise and be part of a team focused on delivering high-quality repair and overhaul services.

What you’ll be doing

  • Performing electronic testing and fault diagnosis down to component level to identify faults and support effective repairs.
  • Following detailed engineering drawings, technical instructions and specifications to complete work accurately.
  • Using appropriate test equipment and procedures to verify component functionality and ensure products meet the required specifications.
  • Carrying out soldering activities, including through-hole and surface-mount soldering, in line with relevant standards.
  • Accurately recording test results and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet deadlines, achieve targets and maintain high standards of quality.
What you’ll bring
  • Experience in an electronic fault-finding role, with the ability to fault find down to component level; alternatively, strong theoretical electronics knowledge will also be considered.
  • A recognised vocational qualification in electronics engineering equivalent to HNC level, a relevant Level 3 engineering apprenticeship, or time-served experience.
  • An understanding of the principles and theory of electronics and mechanics within an engineering environment.
  • The ability to work with detailed engineering drawings and technical records.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines and meet targets.
  • A proactive, self-starting approach, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Confident communication skills and an enthusiastic, collaborative approach to working as part of a team.
  • Desirable: Previous aerospace or aviation experience would be advantageous but isn't essential.
  • We also welcome transferable experience from electronic assembly, testing, maintenance and repair environments.
